Bentonville School District names new communications director

BENTONVILLE — The School District has promoted Paul Stolt to be its new director of communications, Superintendent Michael Poore said Friday.

Stolt has been a teacher at Central Park Elementary School since 2008. Before that he taught first grade in San Anselmo, Calif., for five years, according to a resume provided by the district.

Stolt graduated from the University of Iowa in 1989 with a bachelor’s degree in journalism. He earned his teaching credentials from Dominican University in 2003. He was part of the committee organized this year to explore converting one of Bentonville’s schools into a charter school.

Stolt replaces Mary Ley, who left the district last month to become chief executive officer of the Arkansas Arts Academy in Rogers.
