3 killed in crashes on Arkansas roads

Three people were killed in traffic crashes Friday and Saturday across the state.

Natasha Wakefield, 51, of Martinsburg, W.Va., was killed at 12:30 p.m. Friday when the 2006 Freightliner she was riding in failed to negotiate a curve on U.S. 70 in Montgomery County and overturned. The driver, John Holliman, 42, of Royse City, Texas, was injured and taken to St. Vincent Hospital in Hot Springs.

At 11:10 a.m. Saturday, Sherry Wilson, 48, of Jessieville was killed when the 2012 Harley-Davidson motorcyle she was a passenger on swerved to avoid a car slowing to turn off of Arkansas 10 near Booneville, throwing her. The driver of the motorcycle,Grant Hodges of Hot Springs Village, was not injured.

John L. Fair, 62, of Grady was killed at 7:05 p.m. Saturday when his 1999 Kawasaki ran off U.S. 65 on a curve in Varner and hit a fence post.
