SPRINGDALE -- A man was arrested Friday after police said he climbed through a window and touched a 10-year-old girl.
Police arrested Pedro Ramirez-Cruz, 53, of 1004 Marylin St. in Springdale on Friday in connection with felony sexual indecency with a child and residential burglary. Ramirez-Cruz crawled through a window of the home of a family he knew, according to a preliminary arrest report.
Ramirez-Cruz touched the girl, who woke up and started kicking the man, according to authorities. He left through the window. The girl told police this isn't the first time Ramirez-Cruz has touched her, and she's afraid of him, according to the report.
Ramirez-Cruz was arrested after an interview with a police detective. He was scheduled to be transferred to the Washington County Detention Center on Friday to await a bond hearing. A bond of $50,000 was requested by the police.
