ROGERS -- Wings for Our Troops will receive the proceeds for a chicken barbecue scheduled for Saturday.
Wings for Our Troops was established following the 2010 death in Afghanistan of Cpl. Chad S. Wade, a Northwest Arkansas resident. The foundation helps pay for military personnel to fly home before and after deployments.
Whitey's Chicken Cookin' Crew will barbecue the chicken at the pit near the intersection of Second and Locust streets. Sales start about 9:30 a.m. and will be near the same location.
