BENTONVILLE -- The public library will host poet Clayton Scott for slam poetry workshops on Saturday.
A workshop for educators and adults will start at 9 a.m. Teachers will learn how to incorporate slam poetry into their classrooms, according to a news release. The workshop is approved for staff development credit and is open to anyone 18 and older.
A children's workshop will be at noon for grades four through six. Scott will demonstrate a poetry slam then offer children to perform their own slam poem.
A teen workshop will take place at 1:30 p.m. for grades seven through 12.
All workshops are free, but registration is required. Registration can be done on the library's website calendar.
