Wood-Riley

Megan Riley of Bartlesville, Okla., and Clint Wood of Elkins were married Oct. 5, 2013, at St. Anthony’s on the Creek in Lowell by the Rev. Carl Palmer.

The bride is the daughter of Piney and Edward Riley of Bartlesville. She is the granddaughter of Ellen and Wesley Cobb and Lois and Ray Hamblin, all of Pittsburg, Kan., and the late Patrick Riley.

The groom is the son of Karen and Jim Wood of Elkins. He is the grandson of Wanda Wood of Fayetteville, Roxie Miller of Strickler, the late Olen Wood and the late Jeff Miller.

The bride wore a strapless wedding dress with lace overlay on the bodice, rhinestone embellishment at the waist and an A-line skirt of layered organza. The bride’s veil was shoulder length with beaded detail. She carried a cascading bouquet of white roses, green button mums, bells of Ireland and white and blue carnations.

Veronica Scoggins of Tulsa, Okla., attended the bride as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Kelly Beem of St. Louis and Catherine Hagihara of Fayetteville.

Brad Wood of Fayetteville served his brother as best man. Groomsmen were brother of the groom Matt Wood of Fayetteville and David Peachee of Tontitown.

Brother of the bride Brian Riley and Brett Cobb, cousin of the bride, seated guests. Wesley Cobb, cousin of the bride, and Keri Sanders attended the guest book. Ringbearer was Dax Peachee. Flower girl was Lizzie Sanders. Candle lighters were Kala Hudiberg and Halee Cobb, cousins of the bride. Music was provided by Michael Hudiberg, cousin of the bride, and Bethany Cook.

A reception followed at St. Anthony’s on the Creek with music provided by The Usual Suspects.

The bride is a graduate of Oklahoma State University with a bachelor’s degree in hotel/restaurant administration. She is currently employed by Washington County in the circuit clerk’s office.

The groom is a graduate of the University of Arkansas with both bachelor’s and master’s degrees and a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin with a doctorate. He is currently an assistant professor of civil engineering at the University of Arkansas.
