SUV crash on I-40 fatal to Memphian

A Memphis man was killed and two others were injured early Friday in a single-vehicle crash in Crittenden County, Arkansas State Police reported.

Jerry White, 57, was driving a Nissan Xterra east on Interstate 40 in Lehi when he lost control of the SUV and it crossed the median at 2:51 a.m. The vehicle overturned and White was ejected. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Carlos Carter, 51, was also ejected from the SUV. He and Opal Carter, 49, were taken to Regional One Health in Memphis for treatment.

Conditions were clear and dry when the crash occurred, state police said.
