Tulsa 7, Northwest Arkansas 0

Northwest Arkansas' struggles at the plate continued Wednesday in its series opener at Tulsa.

The Naturals were held to two hits during a 7-0 loss to the Drillers, who received four hits from shortstop Taylor Featherston. Tulsa (6-7) scored two runs in both the seventh and eighth innings to take a 7-0 lead. The Naturals also committed four of the five errors in the game.

The loss by Northwest Arkansas (2-11) followed 1-0 and 6-1 defeats to Midland during a doubleheader at home on Tuesday and stretched its losing streak to 10 consecutive games.

The teams will meet at 7:05 p.m. today in the second game of the four-game series.

Rogers Heritage 14, Springdale High 4

Four different Lady War Eagles had two hits apiece and Heritage took advantage of eight Springdale errors to earn the run-rule Wednesday at Veterans Park.

Heritage (9-11, 3-4 7A/6A-West) scored six runs in the bottom of the first inning and never looked back.

Kenzi Ziem, Lindsay Glynn, Brittney Dean and Sydney had two each. Dean drove in three runs, Donahoe and Glynn added two RBIs and Lehr drove in one for the Lady War Eagles.

Glynn picked up the win in the circle allowing four runs in five innings of work.

Kelcee Thompson led Springdale (7-10, 1-6), going 2-for-3 with a double and solo home run. Caitlynn Bradley and Chelsea Baldwin also added two hits each. Bradley also drove in a run.

Heritage continues conference play at Siloam Springs, while Springdale returns to Veterans Park to play Rogers High today.

The Lady War Eagles were out-shot 17-5 in Wednesday's nonconference shutout loss.

Heritage (4-7-1) trailed 3-0 at halftime. The Lady War Eagles get back to 7A/6A-West Conference play at Bentonville on Friday.
