Paragould Doctor Accused Of Secretly Photographing Patient Nude

— A warrant was issued Tuesday for the arrest of a Paragould doctor accused of taking nude photos of a female patient without her knowledge or consent, according to the 2nd Judicial District prosecutor's office in Jonesboro.

Dr. Paul Becton Jr., 68, who operates Becton Women's Clinic in Paragould, is wanted on five felony counts of video voyeurism, Prosecuting Attorney Scott Ellington stated in a news release.

Becton practiced in Rogers and Bentonville from 1984 to 2007, according to his clinic website, bectonclinic.com.

In addition to having his own clinic, he was at various times associated with Rogers Clinic for Women and Pinnacle Women's Healthcare, according to the website.

Ellington said the Arkansas State Police began investigating Becton, who specializes in obstetrics and gynecology, after a female patient told Paragould police she may have been photographed.

The clinic and the Arkansas Medical Board have been notified of the allegation, Ellington said. Becton hasn't seen any patients this week, he said.

A phone call to the clinic late Tuesday afternoon was answered by a recording stating the office was closed.
