Fayetteville Public Library To Hold Astronomy Event

— An award-winning astronomer and former NASA consultant will give a free presentation about space Thursday at the Fayetteville Public Library.

Kevin Manning will begin at 6:30 p.m. in the library's Walker Community Room, 401 W. Mountain St., according to a news release.

Manning will explain basic astronomy in terms all ages can understand.

Weather permitting, a telescope will be set up on the library's terrace following Manning's presentation. Participants will have an opportunity to view craters on the moon, the rings of Saturn and other celestial objects.
