— A Rogers man was arrested by police Saturday after an investigation by the Benton County Sheriff's Office revealed child pornography on his cellphone, laptop and iPads.

Norman Fred Campion, 43, of 707 Valley West Drive, was arrested in connection with computer exploitation of a child, distributing, possessing or viewing matter depicting sexually explicit conduct involving a child and engaging children in sexually explicit conduct for use in visual or print media, all felonies. He was in the Benton County Jail on Monday on a $50,000 surety bond.

The investigation stemmed from a report to the Arkansas State Police in December. The person who called said email on Campion's iPad showed he said he was attracted to an 11-year-old girl, according to the probable cause affidavit.

Campion said repeatedly he never touched the girl, but admitted to having fantasies about her. The girl was interviewed at the Children's Advocacy Center, but did not disclose any sexually inappropriate touching by Campion.

Deputies' search of Campion's iPad, laptop and cellphone revealed child pornography, child erotica and online messages where Campion talked sexually about the girl. Campion emailed a photo of the partially nude girl, then 9, to other people, according to the probable cause affidavit.

Campion's criminal history showed only traffic violations previously.
