NWA welcomes spring with Easter-centered events

Easter Bunny -- The friendly Easter Bunny has hopped into the Northwest Arkansas Mall for springtime photos with the little ones in his garden home. 4201 N. Shiloh Drive in Fayetteville. 521-6151 or northwestarkansasmall.com.

21st Annual Easter Feed -- More than 6,000 meals will be served during the M&N Augustine Foundation's Easter Feed hosted by Central United Methodist Church in Fayetteville. No invitation is needed, and anyone in need of a meal is encouraged to attended. The event also includes meals delivered by volunteers to those area residents physically unable to attend. 11 a.m.-2 pm. April 19 at 6 W. Dickson St. in Fayetteville. Great Escape Weekend -- The public is invited to enjoy Easter weekend at Arkansas's first state park. Family-oriented programs and activities will be offered at Petit Jean State Park throughout this "Great Escape Weekend," including a guitar concert at historic Mather Lodge April 19 featuring local musician Brandon Robertson, a non-denominational Easter Sunrise Service April 20 and a 2 p.m. Easter Egg Scramble April 20. Easter Egg Round-up -- An "egg-citing" Saturday filled with tons of prizes, games and thousands of Easter eggs filled with candy. There will be sections for different age groups so that everyone gets plenty of goodies. Egg Hunt & Carnival -- The Bella Vista Property Owner Association is kicking off its 10th annual Easter Egg Hunt with more than 15,000 hidden eggs. The Easter Bunny will also be on hand in the morning to take pictures with visiting children. A carnival with children's activities such as bean-bag tosses and face painting will follow the Egg Hunt. Easter Brunch -- This Easter, celebrate with an indulgent brunch at The Hive housed in the 21c Museum Hotel in Bentonville.
