Threat Prompts Second Investigation At Rogers Heritage

— Police are investigating a threat found on a restroom wall Tuesday morning at Heritage High School. A notice to parents was sent at 11:20 a.m., said Ashley Kelley Siwiec, district spokeswoman.

There was no imminent danger to students, according to a message from Karen Steen, school principal. The incident is the fourth in the Rogers School District in four days and the second at the high school. A threat found April 3 at Heritage prompted a police investigation. Non-specific threats were found April 3 at Elmwood Middle School and April 4 at Birch Kirksey Middle School. All four were found in girls' restrooms.

No arrests have been made in those incidents, said Keith Foster, police spokesman.

Tuesday's note was reported by a student about 9:30 a.m., Foster said. It was in a boys' restroom near the gymnasium.

A person leaving such a note could face charges of terroristic threatening, communicating a false alarm, disorderly conduct or criminal mischief, Foster said.

A threat was found in Fayetteville on Monday and two threats were found in Bentonville last week. One resulted in the arrest of an 18-year-old girl.
