Greenland Student Arrested After Bomb Threat Confession

— A student was arrested Tuesday afternoon after confessing to writing a threatening message on a bathroom wall at Greenland High School, according to police.

The message was the school would be blown up Friday, according to a news release from the Greenland Police Department.

The freshman told police he didn't want to hurt anyone but was upset with things going on in his life.

The school resource officer investigated the incident. After watching video from a security camera, the student was questioned. The student confessed and was arrested.

Superintendent Charles Cudney said the 275 students in the high school weren't evacuated or dismissed early. School officials followed the district's crisis plan. A search didn't find bomb material, according to police.
