Second bomb threat found at Fayetteville High School

— Additional police will be at Fayetteville High School today as an investigation continues into a bomb threat found written Monday on a bathroom wall in an older section of the school.

The message stated "Bomb at 9:30 am, Tuesday, April 8," said Principal Steve Jacoby in an email message to parents. A student reported the threatening message to a teacher who in turn notified him at about 2:30 p.m., Jacoby added.

The email to parents states Fayetteville police will conduct a search of the campus with a bomb dog. Staff members are being asked to be highly visible and vigilant this morning and the custodial staff was asked to look for anything unusual when they cleaned the building Monday night.

This is the second threatening message found at the high school this year. A similar message was found in a girl's bathroom in January. That investigation is continuing, Jacoby said.

Similar threats have been found recently at Bentonville and Rogers Heritage high schools.
