Elsewhere in entertainment and the arts: Richest Man talk

Author V.J. Smith will give a talk titled “The Richest Man in Town” (also the title of his best-selling book about a Wal-Mart cashier who became a legend because he treated his customers with respect) at 7 p.m. today in the McClure Convention Center, Vada Sheid CommunityDevelopment Center, Arkansas State University-Mountain Home, 1600 S. College St., Mountain Home.

Co-sponsor for the lecture, part of the university’s Gaston Lecture Series, is Century Bank of the Ozarks.

Storytelling session

Ozark Storytellers will hold its monthly story swap, from 6 to 8 p.m. today in the White Oak Auditorium, Administration Building at the Ozark Folk Center, 1032 Park Ave., Mountain View.

Storytellers are invited to tell family stories, personal history, tall tales or folk tales for a round-robin session; listeners are welcome.
