TRACK AND FIELD Razorbacks win nine events at home

The No. 14 Arkansas women’s track and field team won nine individual events during the Arkansas Spring Invitational on Sunday in Fayetteville.

Jessica Kamilos won the 3,000-meter steeplechase in 10:19.36, Sandi Morris won the pole vault at 14-feet, 6.5 inches, Regine Williams won the 100-meter dash in 11.69 seconds and also won the 200 meters, Chrishuna Williams won the 400-meters in 52.75, Kirsten Hesseltine won the high jump at 5-10.5, Sandie Raines won the 3,000 meters in 9:40.36 and Stephanie Brown set the nation’s top time to win the 800-meters at 2:04.44.

The Razorbacks also won the 400- and 1,600-meter relays and they had 26 top-five finishers on the day.

GOLF Arkansas men finish sixth

Arkansas shot a final-round 301 and finished with a three-round 907 to finish sixth in the Aggie Invitational in Bryan, Texas.

LSU and Texas A&M shared the lead with an 899. Texas Tech was four shorts back at 903.

Taylor Moore finished sixth with a 222 (75-73-74). Sebastian Cappelen finished 25th with a 229 (79-77-73)

BASEBALL Hendrix falls on road

Berry College scored five runs in the first four innings off Hendrix College starter Thomas Weber to win the series finale 8-3 on Sunday in Rome, Ga.

Alex McGill hit a two-run triple in Berry’s three-run first, and added a two-run homer in the seventh for Berry (21-10, 10-5 Southern Athletic Association). Wyatt Hogan went 3 for 4 with 1 RBI and 1 run scored, while Matt Simmons went 2 for 4 with 1 run scored for Hendrix (16-13, 8-7).

SOFTBALL Hendrix swept in doubleheader

Berry College used a four-run third inning in the first game, and a six-run sixth to finish off the second to sweep Hendrix College 5-3 and 9-1 on Sunday in Mount Berry, Ga.

Kayli Patton gave up 5 runs on 9 hits in 6 innings to drop the first game for Hendrix (13-13, 7-6 Southern Athletic Association), which scored all of its runs in the top of the seventh inning. Hope Resor then held Berry (23-7, 12-2) to three runs over the first five innings, before allowing 6 runs aided by 2 Hendrix errors and 3 hits in the sixth inning.
