Beaver Lake: Weekend rain on the upstream reaches of the watershed has muddied the south half of the reservoir.

Garland Villines at Hickory Creek Marina said the water is muddy south of Horseshoe Bend park. He recommends trying for black bass with jerk baits or crank baits. Try minnows or jigs for crappie 5 to 15 feet deep in the Horseshoe Bend area.

John Newlun at Hook, Line and Sinker in Rogers said fishing for black bass is steadily improving. Try crank baits or jerk baits along main lake points and steep, rocky banks. Walleye are biting on the upstream reaches of the White and War Eagle tributaries on Flicker Shads and Shad Raps.
