"We always preach get better throughout the game," Siloam Springs coach Jacob Gill said. "We were down 1-0, then go throw up a two. They come back and tie it up and we go right back out and get another run, which is huge. Great sign of mental toughness for our kids to battle through that."

Chandler gave up three hits in the sixth, but allowed just five hits total and one earned run while pitching into the seventh.

"Fuller Chandler threw his butt off," Springdale coach Billy Ray Rutledge said. "He deserved to get a win."

Springdale put runners on second and third with one out in the bottom of the seventh, but Beever retired the final two batters, including recording his eighth strikeout, to hold onto the win.

"That's the best he's pitched probably his entire career," Gill said. "His first complete game ever. He was a workhorse."
