UA System names agriculture boardroom after Welch

LITTLE ROCK — The University of Arkansas System Division of Agriculture has named its boardroom in honor of former Arkansas Farm Bureau Executive Vice President Ewell "Pete" Welch.

The meeting room is in the renovated annex of the UA Cooperative Extension Service building on South University in Little Rock.

Welch worked for the Farm Bureau for 36 years, starting in 1977. He served as executive vice president from 2002 until retiring last year.
