1st Quarter TEXAS A&M 17 ARKANSAS 7

Johnny Manziel guided Texas A&M to the end zone quickly, completing 4 of 4 passes for 66 yards, the last a 9-yard touchdown pass to Mike Evans after the quarterback bought time. Brandon Allen hit Javontee Herndon for 29 yards on third-and-7 on a Hogs drive that included a defensive offsides on fourth and 1.

Keon Hatcher tied it by reaching back to grab a 12-yard pass from Allen at the goal line. The Aggies had four plays of 14-plus yards, including a 20-yard scramble by Manziel, en route to Ben Malena’s 2-yard touchdown run. Offensive holding slowed an Aggies drive that resulted in Josh Lambo’s 39-yard field goal. Allen hit Hunter Henry for a 52-yard gain to the A&M 17.

2nd Quarter TEXAS A&M 24, ARKANSAS 20

Zach Hocker kicked a 28-yard field goal on the quarter’s second play. A 21-yard scramble by Johnny Manziel and 20-yard run by Brandon Williams set up Manziel’s 7-yard touchdown lob to Mike Evans. Manziel pivoted to dodge a direct-line blitz by Braylon Mitchell on the play. The Hogs used 5:12 and Brandon Allen went 5 of 5 for 55 yards, including his 19-yard scoring pass to split-out back Jonathan Williams. A holding call and a 7-yard sack by Chris Smith and Deatrich Wise pushed A&M out of field-goal range.

Alex Collins’ 38-yard run around right end and Allen’s 12-yard slant pass to Eric Hawkins set up Hocker’s 39-yard field goal on the final play of the half.

3rd Quarter TEXAS A&M 38, ARKANSAS 33

Safety DeShazor Everett sprinted in front of Keon Hatcher to intercept a short pass from Brandon Allen and returned it 34 yards for a score. The Razorbacks had long gains on three consecutive plays - Alex Collins’ 19-yard burst and Allen’s completions of 21 and 26 yards to Hunter Henry - to set up Collins’ 9-yard touchdown run. After an exchange of punts, the Aggies stayed on the ground for nine plays, the last Trey Williams’ 17-yard touchdown up the middle. Hatcher had a 9-yard run and a 15-yard catch and Henry drew a pass interference call. Jonathan Williams broke two tackles on a swing pass that he turned into a 19-yard touchdown. A two-point pass went incomplete.

4th Quarter TEXAS A&M 45, ARKANSAS 33

After two three-and-outs, A&M went strictly to the run to move 57 yards.

Trey Williams had the key play, a 31-yard run on a draw, and Ben Malena scored from the 1. Arkansas drove 67 yards before bogging down at the A&M 16. Jonathan Williams turned a shovel pass on third and 10 into a 28-yard gain into the red zone. Keon Hatcher couldn’t hang on to Brandon Allen’s third-down pass inside the 5. On fourth down, Allen’s pass was batted away at the goal line. A&M ran almost four minutes off the clock before punting back to Arkansas at its 12. Allen heaved a deep ball down the middle on the first snap of the series, but it was intercepted by Steven Jenkins to seal the Aggies’ victory.
