Real-estate firm forms new company

Commercial real-estate firm Sage Partners of Fayetteville has formed a new company, Sage Asset Solutions.

Tommy Van Zandt, one of the founders of Sage Partners who serves as director of operations for the new company, said Sage Asset Solutions was formed to meet a growing need in the Northwest Arkansas market.

“We offer a much broader scope of services that is now required in the maturing Northwest Arkansas property management market,” Van Zandt said in a news release.

Joining Van Zandt in the business are partners Marshall Saviers; T.J. Lefler; Alex Blass; Brian Shaw, who will serve as principal broker; and Scott Audrain, who is the managing partner.

Audrain said the new company will act as a strategic asset manager working with clients to evaluate a property’s needs, establish financial objectives, develop comprehensive service agreements and manage the delivery of services.

Formed in 2005, Sage Partners offers commercial brokerage, development and consulting services for local, regional and national clients.

Rogers analytics company bought out

Shiloh Technologies of Rogers, a retail analytics solution provider, recently announced it has been acquired by Software Paradigms International, an Atlanta-based company that provides technology solutions and information technology services to the retail community.

SPI’s current portfolio includes IT services, vendor collaboration and recovery audit solutions. It also offers the Buyer’s WorkMate Suite with the SPIN Analytics engine.

SPI’s products will be available with Shiloh’s retail supplier solutions such as ShilohLIVE, On-Shelf Availability and Advanced Ordering.

Britt Fogg, the founder and president of Shiloh Technologies, said in a news release that he will remain president of Shiloh Technologies.

Shiloh Technologies is a privately held company with more than 19 years of experience working with consumer packaged goods companies and retail suppliers.

UA’s Bumpers College to host career fair

The deadline for businesses to participate in the University of Arkansas’ fall Agricultural Career Fair: Advancing Food, Family, Business and the Environment is Oct. 8.

The fair will be 10 a.m.-noon and 1-3 p.m. Oct. 17 at the Arkansas Union Verizon Ballroom on-campus. A noon lunch will be provided.

Recruiters can go online to career.uark.edu/new/ events/agricultural/Agricultural.aspx to complete the reservation for space. The general fees are $450 for for-profit organizations and $75 for nonprofit organizations. Additional booths are $100.

Organizations can specify if they will offer interviews the day of the fair and if positions recruited are co-op, internships or full time.

The fair is open to all students in the Dale Bumpers College of Agricultural, Food and Life Sciences who are seeking employment.

For business students, the Sam M. Walton College of Business Career Fair will be Tuesday at Reynolds Razorback Stadium’s East Indoor Club.

Career fairs are scheduled on campus through the University Career Development Center at (479) 575-2805.

Fayetteville jeweler gets Emmy invite

Designs since 2011, was invited Monday to provide jewelry pieces for participants in this year’s News and Documentary Emmy Awards. The event will be Tuesday in New York City.

According to a news release, the company was invited to provide pieces for the 800 gift bags to be distributed at the awards event. Orpin said she wouldn’t have been able to provide handcrafted pieces on such short notice, so she instead is offering store credit to the participants.

Her store, K.O. Designs, had been on the Etsy e-commerce website for two years before finally moving to a separate online shop at kodesignsandaccessories.com.
