Day tears ACL, will have surgery

North Little Rock senior tailback Juan Day will undergo surgery Oct. 10 to repair a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his knee.

Results from an image scan of the knee were revealed Tuesday.

Day, who has orally committed to Arkansas, was injured when he tried to make a cut on a running play during Friday night’s 35-14 victory at Pine Bluff.

Day, 6-1, 215 pounds, had rushed 35 times for 294 yards and 1 touchdown in the first two games this fall for top ranked North Little Rock (2-1).

Day is the cousin of former Arkansas and Little Rock Fair tailback Cedric Cobbs.
