Anniversaries

Julianne and Ronald R. Singel of Sherwood celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a trip to Ireland and, on Saturday, with a family dinner. The couple were married Sept. 21, 1963. She is the former Julianne Reedy and retired as a second-grade teacher from Sherwood Elementary School. He retired from the Air Force and is also a retired business owner. They are the parents of John Singel of Conway, Cary Jenkins of Mabelvale and Jennifer Miller of Sherwood. The couple have 10 grandchildren.

Donna and Ray Bryan of Mabelvale celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with an Alaskan cruise earlier this month. The couple were married Sept. 27, 1963. She is the former Donna Liles and a retired teacher for the White Hall School District. He is a retired Pulaski County Special School District principal. They are the parents of Allen Bryan of Little Rock and have three grandchildren.

Jenna and Harrell G. Mays of Little Rock have celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary. The couple were married Sept. 20, 1953. She is the former Jenna Z. Garner. He is a retired commissioner for the Federal Mediation and Conciliation Service. They are the parents of Leigh Mays Grant and Patti L. Mays, both of Little Rock, and John G. Mays of Birmingham, Ala. The couple have two grandchildren.

FAYETTEVILLE - Carol and Joe Tarvin, formerly of Little Rock, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a trip to the Gulf Coast. The couple were married on Aug. 31, 1963. She is the former Carol Galvin and is a registered nurse at Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville. He is a civil engineer and owner and president of a consulting engineering firm. They are the parents of Leigh Kathleen Maxwell of Madison, Wis.; Mark David Tarvin of Clemmons, N.C.; and Tracey Elizabeth Patto of Farmington. The couple have seven grandchildren.

DERMOTT - Mary and Tom Williams will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary at 2 p.m. Sept. 29 with a renewing of vows at Temple Baptist Church. The couple were married Sept. 27, 1963. She is the former Mary Norton and a retired registered nurse from Chicot Memorial Hospital in Lake Village. He is a retired postmaster for Dermott. They are the parents of Thomas Williams of Dermott and Donald Williams of Memphis.

Wanda and Jack Hollis of Sherwood have celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. The couple were married Sept. 21, 1963. She is the former Wanda Norton and retired from Arkansas Industrial Machinery. He is retired from the Air Force. They are the parents of Paul Hollis of Seattle.

MALVERN - Mildred and Lloyd Smith celebrated their 67th anniversary at home with a family dinner. The couple were married Sept. 21, 1946. She is the former Mildred Robertson. He is a retired wildlife officer for the Arkansas Game & Fish Commission. They are the parents of Jane Kriigel of Malvern; Kay Snavely of Santee, Calif.; and Filus Smith of Atlanta. The couple have four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Pauline and Rober t Boucher of Jacksonville celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in Colorado. The couple were married Sept. 14, 1963. She is the former Pauline Bussiere and a retired bookkeeper. He is retired from the Air Force. They are the parents of Robert Boucher of Altadena, Calif., and Dennis Boucher of England. The couple have three grandchildren.

BATESVILLE - Brenda and Bill Bobrosky have celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. The couple were married Sept. 15, 1963. She is employed by White River Medical Center. He is retired from Eastman Chemical Co. They are the parents of Tim Bobrosky of Batesville and Kim Bobrosky Hafidi of Durham N.C.

Polly and Leonard Mano of Little Rock celebrated their 66th wedding anniversary with dinner at Cajun’s Wharf. The couple were married Sept. 7, 1947. She is the former Pauline Pearce and a retired registrar for the Little Rock Convention and Visitors Bureau. He is a retired certified public accountant and treasurer for BEI Electronics Inc. They are the parents of Jan Watson of Atlanta and Randy Mano of Little Rock. The couple have five grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Luella and Warren E. “Gene” Beasley of Little Rock are celebrating their 70th wedding anniversary. The couple were married Sept. 23, 1943. Both are retired. They are the parents of Alan D. Beasley of Bigelow, Annette B. Rhodes of Maumelle, Karen B. Goodson of Santiago, Chile, and Lisa B. Dabous of North Little Rock. The couple have eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Dorlene and Robert Altman of Little Rock have celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary. The couple were married Sept 19, 1953. She is the former Dorlene Eaton. Both are retired. They are the parents of Robin Altman of Alexander and Terry Altman and Patti Vick, both of Little Rock. The couple have two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Jessie and Theodore Garrett of Little Rock celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary with a reception at their home on Friday. The couple were married Sept. 20, 1953. She is the former Jessie McGhee and a retired realtor and business owner. He is a retired licensed barber and business owner. They are the parents of Althea Garrett of Inglewood, Calif.; and Theodore Chris Garrett and Sonderler J. Garrett, both of Little Rock. The couple have six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Jean and Charles Martin of North Little Rock celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary Sept. 14 at their home. The couple were married Sept. 19, 1943. She is the former Jean Davis. He is a retired salesman for Georgia Pacific Paper Co. They are the parents of Mark Martin of San Antonio and Dr. Allen Martin of Fayetteville. The couple have six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

CABOT - Marilyn and Charles Cummings celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a trip to Hawaii. The couple were married Sept. 21, 1963. She is the former Marilyn Henry and a retired secretary and bookkeeper. He is retired from the trucking industry. They are the parents of David Cummings of Cabot; Gary Cummings of Gastonia, N.C.; Craig Cummings of Woodstock, Ga.; and Keith Cummings of Yukon, Okla. The couple have eight grandchildren.
