Internationally recognized design theorist Robert Somol will offer the lecture “No Need for Architecture” at 5:30 p.m. Monday in Ken and Linda Shollmier Hall at Vol Walker Hall on the University of Arkansas campus in Fayetteville.
Somol was appointed director of the School of Architecture at the University of Illinois at Chicago in 2007. He now serves as interim dean of the College of Architecture and the Arts at the university.
The lecture is part of this year’s Fay Jones School of Architecture lecture series and is the Mort Karp Memorial Lecture. Admission is free, but space is limited.
