Free ACT Prep Workshop Offered

BENTONVILLE — The Bentonville Public Library will conduct an ACT Prep Workshop for students preparing for the national exam. The workshop is modeled after the University of Arkansas College Access Initiative ACT Prep program.

Students will participate in a classroom workshop where they will learn about testing strategies, overcoming testing anxieties and the overall content of the ACT. Students will use retired ACT exams at the workshop to better understand the curriculum of the test, according to a news release.

Any teens preparing for the ACT are encouraged to sign up for the workshop scheduled for the week of Sept. 30 through Oct. 4. The workshop starts at 4:15 p.m. each day at the library, 405 S. Main St.

The program is for teenagers 13 to 18 years old. Registration is required at www.bentonvillelibrary.org. For more information, contact Sarah Gowdy at 479-273-7755 [email protected].
