finale is Friday

PINE BLUFF - The grand finale of Arkansas Gospel Music Heritage Month will be at 7 p.m. Friday at the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff, 1200 University Ave. The program will include a live gospel music recording. The contributions of Arkansans to gospel music will also be acknowledged and participants will honor the legacy of the late Rev. Gerald Thompson and Donna Grady Creer.

Breakfast With Coach announced

FAYETTEVILLE - Mount Sequoyah Retreat and Conference Center will present Breakfast With the Coach, 8-10 a.m. Sept. 28 in Galloway Dining Hall. The event will feature Norm DeBriyn, head coach of the Arkansas Razorbacks baseball team from 1970 to 2002.

Ken Hatfield, Razorbacks football head coach from 1984 to 1989, will be the featured guest Oct. 12 and Harold Horton, former Razorbacks football player and a team coach under Frank Broyles and Lou Holtz, will be featured Nov. 2.
