Commission Certifies School Election

FAYETTEVILLE — The Washington County Election Commission certified results from Tuesday’s school elections, making the votes official.

Two additional ballots, one in Greenland and one in Fayetteville, were counted. The election outcomes were unchanged.

Susan Heil, who won re-election to the Fayetteville School Board, received an additional vote putting her total at 800. The Fayetteville school millage received 802 votes to maintain the rate. There were 13 votes against maintaining Greenland millage.

Jennifer Price, election coordinator, said two overseas ballots have not been returned but won’t change election results.
