CAMPBELL LAKE LOOP Location: Park at North Little Rock’s Cook’s Landing Park 0.51 mile north of the Big Dam Bridge entrance.

Hike 0.12 mile south and head east on the Isabella Jo Trail.

Length: This multipurpose trail is flat and paved.

Hike east to the North-Shore Trail and double back for 2.55 miles.

Main attractions: Woods, two lakes, the river and wildlife. Not as crowded as the nearby Arkansas River Trail. There are options for longer hikes on the Pfeifer Loop and in Burns Park.

Hazards: Be wary of those speeding bikers who seem to be preparing for the Tour de France.

Dog, bike, tyke friendly? Perfect for all three.
