She is the former Gladys Nash and a retired educator for the Arkansas Department of Education and a public library consultant. He is a retired director of the Governor’s Dislocated Worker Task Force. They are the parents of Benjamin F. Davis Jr. of North Carolina and Ronald B. Davis of Denver. The couple have three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

ROMANCE - Faye and Mike McGary celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary with a family dinner. The couple were married Sept. 12, 1953. She is the former Barbara Faye Thompson and a retired church secretary. He is a retired car man for Union Pacific Railroad. They are the parents of Diane Rodtnick of North Little Rock, Dwayne McGary of Conway and Harold McGary of Searcy. The couple have six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Joyce and Tommy Caldwell of Alexander celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary visiting relatives in Virginia, Maryland, Niagara Falls and Canada. The couple were married Sept. 5, 1953. She is the former Joyce Marie Shaddox. He is retired from the military and from Falcon Jet. They are the parents of Marvin Caldwell of Alexander, Linda Patterson and Pamela Zimmerman, both of Stafford, Va., and Stephen Caldwell of Little Rock. The couple have 10 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Catherine H. and James M. Johnston of Sherwood will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary with family. The couple were married Sept. 17, 1953. She is the former Ola Catherine Holt and is a retired administrative assistant from Providential Life Insurance Co. in Little Rock. He retired as a controller from Atlantic Research Corp. in Camden. They are the parents of Jeffrey Holt Johnston of Jacksonville and have three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

HARRISON - Drs. Carlton and Sue Chambers have celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary . The couple were married Sept. 6, 1963. She is the former Elizabeth Sue Ross and a retired pediatrician. He is a retired ear, nose and throat specialist. They are the parents of Carla Willis of Harrison, Lindsay Chambers and Matthew Chambers, both of Fayetteville, and Mark Chambers of Birmingham, England. The couple have seven grandchildren.
