Bentonville falls to Broken Arrow

Broken Arrow (Okla.) came from behind to defeat Bentonville (1-1) by a score of 24-17 on Friday night. The loss was Bentonville's first in the regular season since 2009, and was also the first non-conference defeat for the Tigers since 2007.

Broken Arrow scored the go-ahead touchdown on a halfback pass from Miles Smith to Hunter Copelin with 2:06 left. They had tied the game with 8:06 left on a pass from Cameron Key to Copelin.

Bentonville quarterback Kasey Ford gave Bentonville a 17-10 lead in the third quarter with a 3-yard quarterback run.

Rogers 41, Tahlequah (Okla.) 6

Fullbacks Bryan Grigsby and Preston Young combined to rush for 170 yards and three touchdowns to lead Rogers (2-0) to a 41-6 win over Tahleqah (0-2). Grisby rushed for 90 yards on 12 carries with a 30-yard touchdown run, and Young rushed for 80 yards on 17 carries with two touchdowns for the Mounties.

Springdale 41, Tulsa Central (Okla.) 6

DeAndre Murray rushed for 205 yards and four touchdowns as Springdale (2-0) defeated Tulsa Central (0-2) by a score of 41-6. Springdale's defense did not allow a touchdown.

Shiloh Christian 44, Broken Bow (Okla.) 7

Chris Cox tallied four touchdowns as Shiloh Christian (1-0-1) defeated Broken Bow (1-1) by a score of 44-7. Cox rushed for 92 yards and three touchdowns and caught a touchdown pass as well. Chandler Smith added 85 rushing yards and a touchdown for the Saints.

Rogers Heritage 38, Fort Smith Northside 21

Rogers Heritage (1-1) defeated Fort Smith Northside (0-1-1) by a score of 38-21 behind four touchdowns from quarterback Josh Qualls. Qualls threw three touchdown passes and ran for another in the win.

Morrilton 28, Prairie Grove 21

Tony Hawkins hit Reese Heidenrich with a 23-yard touchdown pass with 31 seconds left to lead Morrilton (1-1) to a 28-21 win over Prairie Grove (1-1). Hawkins finished 20 of 27 for 327 yards and two touchdowns with an interception. Hawkins and running back Sharaz Rhodes each added 101 rushing yards. Hawkins' lone interception was returned 80 yards for a touchdown by Prairie Grove's Logan Bartholomew.

Charleston 23, Gentry 15

Charleston and Arkansas 2015 commit Ty Storey overcame five turnovers to defeat Gentry (1-1) by a score of 23-15. Storey threw for 267 yards and three touchdowns for the Tigers (2-0), who held Gentry to zero points off turnovers.

Farmington 28, West Fork 0

Justice Hobbs rushed for 68 yards in 12 carries with a touchdown to lead Farmington (2-0) past West Fork (0-2) by a score of 28-0.
