A Siloam Springs man died Wednesday night after the ATV he was riding veered into a ditch, throwing him from the vehicle, authorities said.
Ehren W. Elder, 35, was riding a 2004 Honda ATV south on Hook Monument Road about 7:15 p.m. when he lost control and went into the ditch, according to an Arkansas State Police report.
Elder was later discovered in the ditch, police said. He died from unspecified injuries.
Conditions at the time were described as clear and dry.
The death was the 338th fatality in a traffic accident in Arkansas so far this year, according to preliminary figures.
