Washed Out escapes with mysterious Paracosm

Washed Out Paracosm Sub Pop A This is an album that covers you like a cool, clean sheet on a hot summer night. It’s filled with gauzy-edged dreamscapes that sparkle and unfold slowly through synthy beats and gentle waves made on vintage keyboards and modern samples from sole member Ernest Greene. No wonder this follow-up to 2011’s similarly wispy Within and Without is called Paracosm, which means a fantasy world invented by children.
