Rogers Heritage at FS NORTHSIDE (3): Heritage led at halftime and finished with six more first downs in its 45-28 loss last week at No. 4 FS Southside. Northside is much improved under new coach Mike Falleur. Northside fell behind 14-0 early last week, blew several opportunities, including a dropped TD pass just before halftime, and allowed a 37-yard field goal in the final seconds of a 31-31 tie at Class 6A No. 1 Pine Bluff. Heritage quarterback Josh Qualls passed for five TDs in a 43-25 win over Northside in 2012.

7A/6A WEST

Broken Arrow, Okla. at BENTONVILLE (7): Bentonville rallied from 13-0 deficit to win at Kansas City (Mo.) Rockhurst 24-21 last Friday. The Tigers tallied almost 260 yards rushing and 110 yards passing. Bentonville has won 24 straight non-conference games and 36 consecutive regular-season contest. Bentonville doubled Broken Arrow last year 20-10 after a lengthy lightning delay.

JEFFERSON CITY, MO. (1) at Fayetteville: Two-time defending 7A champion Fayetteville enjoys 11 days between its opener (35-21 win over Class 4A No. 1 Warren last Monday) and Jeff City (2-0). The Purple Dogs lost last year at Jeff City 49-39.

Columbia (Mo.) Rockhurst at SPRINGDALE HAR-BER (9): Har-Ber rallied from a 35-14 third-quarter deficit, using 657 yards offense and a 102-yard interception return by Trent Parra to beat Webb City, Mo., 42-35 last Friday. Webb City was riding a 46-game win streak and hadn’t lost a regular-season game since Oct. 17, 2003. Har-Ber committed six turnovers in last year’s 28-16 loss at Columbia (Mo.) Rockhurst.

ROGERS (6) at Tahlequah, Okla.: Rogers rolled up 503 yards rushing last week while holding Class 6A Mountain Home to 82 yards on 30 carries (2.7 yards per carry). It was Rogers’ first shutout victory since blanking Kansas City Central 42-0 on Sept. 11, 2009. Rogers rumbled for 366 yards rushing in last season’s 45-13 win over Tahlequah.

SPRINGDALE (16) at Tulsa Central, Okla.: Springdale ran over Batesville, the Class 5A state runner-up the past two seasons, 42-27 last Friday. Senior DeAndre Murray ran for 195 yards and three TDs with a 53-yard TD called back by penalty. Murray ran for 136 yards and two TDs in a 41-0 win over Tulsa Central last season.

Siloam Springs at RUSSELLVILLE (8): Siloam Springs scored three times in the fourth quarter last week to salvage a 35-35 tie with Shiloh Christian. Junior David Goodman blocked a punt in the final minute that classmate Parker Baldwin picked up and returned 48 yards for a TD. Russellville started slow in a 43-28 win at Morrilton, rallying in the second half with 27 unanswered points. Senior QB Cody Jones completed 20 of 36 passes for 358 yards and five TDs. The Cyclones beat Siloam Springs 28-16 last year.

BROKEN BOW, OKLA. (6) at Shiloh Christian: Shiloh Christian surrendered 14 points in the final three minutes of last week’s 35-35 tie with Siloam Springs. Broken Bow beat the Saints by 11 points a year ago.

MORRILTON (1) at Prairie Grove: These teams didn’t play last season after enduring a two-hour lightening delay. Morrrilton led Class 6A Russellville 28-16 in the third quarter last week before losing 43-28. Devil Dog senior QB Toney Hawkins ran for three scores against Russellville. Prairie Grove forced six turnovers and allowed just one TD against Lavaca (Lavaca’s other two scores came on an interception and kickoff return).

FARMINGTON (21) at West Fork: Farmington has won two of the past three over West Fork, including 25-0 last year. Farmington forced a pair of second-half turnovers in last week’s eight-point win over Huntsville.

Gravette at BOONEVILLE (28): Booneville junior Josh Smith returned a punt 82 yards (fifth longest in school history) for a TD in last week’s sportsmanship rule win over rival Ozark. Junior fullback Bryson May ran for 163 yards and a TD. Gravette

Stilwell, Okla. at LINCOLN (10): Class 4A Stilwell (third-highest classification in Oklahoma) didn’t score against Lincoln last year. Lincoln has held six of its past 11 opponents to a TD or less.

Pea Ridge at GREEN FOREST (2): Three of the past four meetings between these teams were decided by six points or less. Pea Ridge QB Seth Brumley passed for 104 yards and a TD and ran for 82 yards and a score in last week’s three-point win at Elkins.

Berryville at HUNTSVILLE (3): Huntsville has beaten Berryville five straight times. Huntsville committed two turnovers in last week’s eight-point loss at Farmington. Berryville’s 44-point win over Marshall last week snapped a seven-game losing streak.

CHARLESTON (10) at Gentry: Gentry usually plays lights out against Charleston, winning by two TDs in 2010 and losing by a 15 points in 2009 and eight points in 2011. The Pioneers committed 13 penalties in last week’s 30-point victory over West Fork. Gentry QB Jarod Cousins ran for 119 yards and a TD and passed for a score in last week’s 30-0 win over West Fork.

Senior tight end Clayton Watson caught seven of Anderson’s nine completions for 158 yards and two scores. The Tigers lost at Pea Ridge 37-0 last year.

Elkins at LAVACA (4): Elkins senior QB Triston Ice ran 21 times for 149 yards and two TDs in last week’s 27-24 loss to Pea Ridge. He threw a 77-yard TD pass to senior Trent Bulla. Lavaca lost six turnovers in a 54-19 loss at Prairie Grove. Senior Anthony Todaro returned a kickoff 75 yards for a TD. Junior QB Hayden Headley threw a 10-yard TD pass to junior receiver Levi Voss. Junior CB Luke Brown returned an interception 46 yards for a score. The Golden Arrows beat Elkins 26-16 in 2012.

Greenland at MANSFIELD (7): Greenland senior RB Calvin Giddens galloped 65 yards for a TD in last week’s 27-18 win over Magazine. Mansfield beat Waldron 48-28. The Tigers have won two of the past three meetings in this back-and-forth series.

Marshall at ROSE BUD (8): It tooFARMINGTON (21) at West Fork: West Fork has been shut out five times in its last 10 games. The Tigers totaled 167 yards in last week’s 30-0 loss at Gentry. Farmington downed West Fork 25-0 in 2012.

Yellville-Summit at SALEM (11): Yellville-Summit made a goal-line stand to preserve a 30-30 tie with Piggott last week. Senior QB Caleb Gilley rushed for 110 yards and scored the two-point conversion that tied the game in the fourth quarter. Sophomore RB Cale Howk ran 18 times for 159 yards and a TD.

CHARLESTON (10) at Gentry: Charleston junior QB Ty Storey completed 23 of 32 passes for 383 yards and four TDs in last week’s 42-19 win over Clarksville. The Tigers beat Gentry 52-21 a year ago.
