Har-Ber rallies past Webb City

Springdale Har-Ber defeated Missouri 4A #1 team Webb City (Mo.) by a final of 42-35 on Friday night. Har-Ber overcame a 21-point third quarter deficit to hand Webb City its first regular season defeat since 2002, a streak of 91 games.

Har-Ber quarterback Kyle Pianalto passed for 279 yards and two touchdowns, and added 186 rush yards and a touchdown on the ground in the win. After tying the game at 35 in the fourth quarter, top 2014 prospect Josh Frazier recovered a fumble by Webb City (1-1).

Pianalto then orchestrated a three-play, 58-yard drive to give Har-Ber the lead for good with 7:37 remaining, throwing a 51-yard pass and then adding runs of six and one to finish the drive. The Wildcats played the fourth quarter without top running back Sain Matthew, who rushed for 103 yards but missed the final period with cramps.

Har-Ber is currently ranked #1 in the class 7A.

Rogers 47, Mountain Home 0

The Rogers Mounties defeated the Mountain Home Bombers by a final of 47-0 on Friday night. The Mounties (1-0) rolled up 503 rushing yards, with four players topping the 100-yard mark. Brandon Workman rushed for 123 yards on just five carries with two touchdowns, Max Harrell rushed 14 times for 119 yards, Cole Evans added 112 yards on three carries, all of them touchdowns, and Preston Young rushed four times for 102 yards with a touchdown.

Farmington 20, Huntsville 12

Farmington knocked off Huntsville 20-12 in both teams' season opener on Friday night. Farmington running back Josh Blew rushed 12 times for 83 yards for the Cardinals (1-0).

FS Southside 45, Rogers Heritage 28

Isaac Jackson led the Rebels of Fort Smith Southside to a 45-28 victory over Rogers Heritage on Friday night. Jackson rushed for two touchdowns and threw for another in the victory for the Rebels (1-0). Brandon Yates of Heritage (0-1) rushed for 258 yards and three touchdowns in the loss.

Gentry 30, West Fork 0

Senior quarterback Jarod Cousins led Gentry (1-0) to a season-opening victory over West Fork (0-1). Cousins completed 6 of 12 passes for 210 yards and a touchdown, and added 122 rushing yards on 18 carries with a touchdown in the win.
