Fayetteville Work To Close Township Street Railroad Crossing

FAYETTEVILLE — Workers with the Arkansas & Missouri Railroad plan to replace the railroad crossing at Township Street and Gregg Avenue today.

Larry Rouse, track superintendent, said new rails, ties and concrete will make the crossing smoother.

The crossing will be closed from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., according to a news release. Rouse said work could extend into the night, but should be done by Thursday morning.

Drivers will be able to get to Meek’s Lumber and other businesses west of the railroad tracks from Gregg Avenue south of Township, near Ridout Lumber.
