WHAT TO LOOK FOR Ouachita Baptist is tied with Harding for best scoring defense in the conference, allowing 15.5 points per game, and is facing the worst-scoring team in the GAC as the Bulldogs are averaging just 8.8 points after being shut out by Henderson State last week. In fact, Southwestern State is near the bottom of several major categories. With the GAC’s second-best rushing offense (202.2 yards per game), the Tigers will hope to grind it out on the ground until the passing game opens upARKANSAS-MONTICELLO AT HARDING WHEN 2 p.m.

The Bisons are averaging an NCAA Division II-best 404 rushing yards per game and are third in Division II in third-down conversion, converting 56.1 percent of their third-down attempts. If it can establish the run, look for Harding to switch it up and pass deep. The Bisons are ranked first in Division II in yards per completion (29.05).

Tech has balance, but with Ketrich Harmon averaging 8.5 yards per carry (for 486 yards and four touchdowns) the Wonder Boys could try to test the Muleriders’ run defense early. If Tech goes to the air, turnovers could play a factor as Southern Arkansas has one of the better pass defenses in the GAC and Wonder Boys quarterback Luke Halpin has four interceptions to go with his four touchdown passes.
