FAYETTEVILLE — A woman was taken to Washington Regional Medical Center on Thursday after being struck by a car in a pedestrian crosswalk.
Offiers were called to the area of Leverett Avenue and Sycamore Street about 5 p.m. after witnesses said a car hit a woman crossing the road.
The woman appeared to be alert as Central Emergency Medical Service technitians loaded her into an ambulance.
A message left for a police shift supervisor wasn't returned Thursday and no additional information was available.
