Challenger Outspent Incumbent In Board Race

A new School Board member who defeated an incumbent in last month’s election received campaign contributions from two other board members.
At A Glance
Matt Burgess received 760 votes, or 56.8 percent, in the Zone 6 school board election on Sept. 17. Rudy Upshaw received 577 votes, or 43.1 percent of the vote.
