Benton County Officials Endorse Planning Ordinance

Benton County’s justices of the peace on Tuesday recommended approving a revised planning and development ordinance.
At A Glance
Benton County’s Committee of the Whole on Tuesday recommended approving:
•The tax levy for county's general and road funds for 2013, which will be collected in 2014.
•Spending $10,000 to pay for Rural Development Authority’s outsourcing of management services for Rural Water Districts No.4 and No. 5 for the remainder of 2013.
•Transferring $26,500 in the Benton County Sheriff’s Office budget to repair cameras originally budgeted for replacement.
•The county to apply for a federal hazard mitigation grant to replace the Spanker Creek Bridge near Benton County 40.
