FOOTBALL UCA’s Conque to speak at TD Club

Central Arkansas Coach Clint Conque will be the guest speaker today at the Little Rock Touchdown Club at the Embassy Suites hotel in Little Rock.

Conque is in his 14th year as the head coach at UCA and has taken the Bears to the NCAA Football Championship Subdivision playoffs twice. The Bears fell to 2-3 after Saturday’s loss to Mc-Neese State.

Lunch will be served at 11 a.m. with the program beginning at noon. Admission is $20 for members and $30 for non-members. Membership to the club is $50.

VOLLEYBALL Arkansas rallies to beat Auburn

Meredith Hays had 16 kills and Ashley Vazquez had 23 assists to help Arkansas comeback for a 21-25, 29-27, 25-12, 25-16 victory over Auburn at Barnhill Arena in Fayetteville on Sunday.

Auburn fell to 9-7, 0-4 in the SEC while Arkansas is 11-5, 4-1.ASU swept by ULL

Sadie Clark had 12 kills but Arkansas State was swept by Louisiana-Lafayette 25-17, 25-22, 25-19 on Sunday in Jonesboro.

Sarah Kemp added 10 kills for the Red Wolves (7-12, 4-2 Sun Belt).

SOCCER Razorbacks win at home

Ashleigh Ellenwood’s unassisted goal in the 50th minute was all Arkansas needed in a 1-0 victory over Mississippi State on Sunday in Fayetteville.

Taylor Erwin needed to make only one save to post her sixth shutout of the season, while Arkansas fell to 9-4, 2-3 in the SEC. ASU falls at home

Nini Rabsatt-Smith and Clarissa Hernandez each scored second-half goals to give South Alabama a 2-0 victory over Arkansas State on Sunday in Jonesboro.

Amanda Lee had three saves in the first half for ASU (6-5-2, 1-2 Sun Belt).

Troy tops UALR

Abby Reynolds’ goal in the 54th minute off a rebound gave Troy a 1-0 victory over UALR on Sunday at the Coleman Sports & Recreation Complex in Little Rock.

Troy (6-7, 2-1 Sun Belt) led UALR (3-9, 0-3) 18-12 in shots and 6-3 in shots on goal.
