GAINESVILLE, Fla. - A two-seat plane towing an advertising banner for an insurance company and flying over Ben Hill Griffin Stadium on Saturday had to make a crash-landing on the Florida campus.

The crash happened in a tail-gating area, but no people on the ground were injured according to a Gainesville Sun report.

Both people in the plane were hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries, University of Florida Police Chief Linda Stump told the Sun.

Stump said the plane’s propeller stopped and the pilot jettisoned the banner and tried to make an emergency landing. The plane rolled on the ground and bounced into a tree-filled area.
