Arkansas drove 26 yards, then Florida went 37 yards before each had to punt. Loucheiz Purifoy’s corner blitz on Brandon Allen’s blind side led to a sack and fumble recovered by the Gators at the Hogs’ 29. Big 6-10 Dan Skipper jumped to block Austin Hardin’s 48-yard field-goal attempt. Alex Collins and Jonathan Williams had runs of 10 and 12 yards and Allen hit Hunter Henry for 31 yards to the Florida 4.

Williams took a pitch left and ran back to right end to score on the next snap.

Florida’s Tyler Murphy completed passes of 15 and 16 yards to reach the Arkansas 29.

2nd QuarterFLORIDA 17, ARKANSAS 7

The Gators kept moving to the Arkansas 6, where ends Chris Smith and Trey Flowers had back-to-back stops for 2-yard losses. Brad Phillips booted a 28-yard field goal. Arkansas faced thirdand-6 when Brandon Allen forced a throw. Loucheiz Purifoy intercepted and returned it 42 yards for a score. Sam Irwin-Hill’s 60-yard punt backed Florida to its 8. Florida punt returner Vernon Hargreaves bobbled a punt at his 10 and Arkansas’ Jarrett Lake caught the loose ball. A late flag came in charging Arkansas with kick-catch interference.

The Gators capitalized, with Solomon Patton breaking a tackle after catching a pass from Tyler Murphy and streaking in for a 52-yard touchdown.

3rd QuarterFLORIDA 24, ARKANSAS 10

Florida converted a couple of third-and-short plays to reach Arkansas territory. Cornerback Tevin Mitchel went for a breakup and paid, as Solomon Patton caught a curl, turned upfield and scored a 38-yard touchdown. Florida center Jon Harrison was ejected for pushing a referee, dousing a Florida drive. The Hogs went on the move, with a pass interference and Alex Collins’ 30-yard catch down the left sideline putting the ball at the Florida 14. Javontee Herndon couldn’t pull in a pass at the goal line and Arkansas settled for Zach Hocker’s 30-yard field goal. The Hogs messed up a successful onside kick with Herndon being offside. A Robert Thomas sack snuffed a Florida drive.

4th QuarterFLORIDA 30, ARKANSAS 10

The Gators’ Dante Fowler Jr. was penalized for roughing the passer on the quarter’s second play, touching off a series of major penalties against Florida, which Coach Will Muschamp disparaged in his postgame comments. Florida moved 42 yards as the quarter ticked past its midway point, a key play being Trey Burton’s sliding catch for a 22-yard gain as he slid out of bounds on a reception that did not get a stoppage for an official review. Florida nailed down its victory when Valdez Showers scored on a 9-yard shovel pass from Tyler Murphy. The Razorbacks went almost exclusively to the pass and drove to the Florida 4, but Brandon Allen threw incomplete on fourth down.
