PUBLIC VIEWPOINT Reader: Who Are The Groomers?

Ihave followed the political apotheosis of the Republican Tommy Cotton. Not to be confused with Peter Cotton Tail. It has been observed that Tommy is the target of a “smear” campaign. I don’t think I or my wife have written anything that could be construed to be a smear though the man is for certain smearable. He is against everything! He opposes the Farm Bill, a bill that helps the farmer and the poor in our state and his district. This vote of his means he iswilling to let children go hungry. He has also voted against the Violence Against Women Act. Is he then for violence against women? Hmm. He voted against Medicare for the elderly and Obamacare, so he must be for death panels. He has even voted against veterans’ benefi ts.

And he is a veteran.

He boasts that he has defended our beloved Constitution against the Taliban, al-Qaida, and an assortment of other Arabs.

He did spend some time in a combat zone sohe must have something on the ball. He wasn’t shot by his own men.

Of course when you consider how rapidly he was promoted from 2nd lieutenant to 1st lieutenant and then to captain, his men may not have seen him very often. He was at headquarters polishing boots and apples and getting a prominent part of his anatomy tan. No, not his ears. He resigned his commission and spent about fi ve minutes as a congressman. He still has the title but only shows up to vote against everythingthat is good for the American people while he campaigns for the Senate.

I read that he was being “groomed” for higher off ce. Think about it. If he is being “groomed” there must be a “groomer” or perhaps a flock of groomers, a groomer who must consider that Tommy Cotton is a “poleznye idiota.” (Pronounced eedeeotah)

Question authority. It’s the American way.
