The area Trout Unlimited chapter will meet at 6 p.m. on Monday at Whole Hog Cafe, 3009 N. College in Fayetteville.
Michael McLellan with McLellan’s Fly Shop will give a program about newinnovations in fly-fishing gear including waders, packs and clothing.
Polar Bear Bass
Tournament Set
The annual New Year’s Day Polar Bear bass tournament will be from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Jan. 1 at Beaver Lake out of Prairie Creek park.
Entry fee is $60 per boat and includes big bass.
Guaranteed first prize is $1,200. Entries received by 1 p.m. on Dec. 31 will be entered into a $200 earlyentry prize drawing.
Anglers may enter at Hook,Line and Sinker in Rogers, Southtown Sporting Goods in Fayetteville, Mobile Marine in Springdale or Jeff Cook insurance in Lowell. Entries are also accepted at Prairie Creek on tournament morning.
