Boats Needed For Student Anglers
Anglers with boats are needed to take students from the Springdale Central Junior High fishing club out on Beaver Lake for the club’s annual fishing trip on Tuesday.
Trips depart from Hickory Creek Marina. Morning fishing is from 7 to 11 a.m. Afternoon fishing is from noon to 4 p.m.
Anglers may volunteer for either or both trips. Lunch is served to boat providers.
Volunteers don’t have to be accomplished anglers and can take students fishing for any species.

Polar Bear Bass
Tournament Set
The Polar Bear bass tournament will be from 7 a.m.
to 4 p.m. Jan. 1 at Beaver Lake out of Prairie Creek park.
Entry fee is $60 per boat and includes big bass. Guaranteed first prize is $1,200. Entries received by 1 p.m. Dec. 31 will be entered into a $200 drawing.
Anglers may enter at Hook, Line and Sinker in Rogers, Southtown Sporting Goods in Fayetteville, Mobile Marine in Springdale or Jeff Cook insurance in Lowell. Entries are also accepted at Prairie Creek on tournament morning.
