Restaurant Inspections

Information is from state Health Department records. Restaurants are listed in order of inspection date. All reports are from regular food service food store inspections unless otherwise noted.

Priority violations are defined as items relating directly to factors that lead to food-borne illness and must be corrected immediately.

Priority foundation violations are defined as items relating directly to factors that lead to food-borne illness such as training, equipment plans and documentation and must be corrected immediately.

Core violations are defined as items that relate to maintenance of food operations and cleanliness.

TAJ Indian Cuisine

Priority violations: Owner, manager need to make sure all employees know food temperatures, how to protect food, sanitation, etc. Chili chicken 119 degrees, chicken biryani 109 degrees, chicken wings 116 degrees; hot holding is 135 degrees or above. Curd rice 60 degrees, sliced tomatoes 75 degrees, chickpeas and potatoes 61 degrees; cold holding is 41 degrees or below. Food in consumer self-service operations must be protected. Dishwasher tested 200 ppm; should be 50-100 ppm chlorine; may not use chlorine with additives for sanitation. May not have bare-hand contact with ready-to-eat foods. Must date mark ready-to-eat potentially hazardous food held more than 24 hours. May not use food contact items that cannot be washed, rinsed and sanitized.

Core violations: Wiping cloths need to be stored in a sanitation bucket. May not reuse single-use bulk containers. Back door needs to be able to seal shut. Food may not be stored on the floor. Must wash hands when going from dirty to clean dishes.
