Bentonville Library To Host Historical Presentation Monday

BENTONVILLE — Randy McCrory, a local historical researcher, will present “A Pictorial History of Monte Ne” at 6 p.m. Monday in the Bentonville Public Library’s Walmart Community Room. The library is at 405 S. Main St.

A “Pictorial History of Monte Ne” will show a hundred views of the Monte Ne area. The program will include 15 minutes of home films of Monte Ne from the 1950s. Guests will get a peek into history as the films show driving through the town, Coin Harvey’s house, the amphitheater, the tomb and scenes of the White River. The presentations also will take a look at Monte Ne from 1977, when Beaver Lake receded to reveal some of the submerged city, according to a news release.
