Cabot police arrest man accused of rape, intimidating witness

Cabot police officers on Friday afternoon arrested a man accused of rape and intimidating a witness, both felonies.

Blake Davis, 19, of Cabot, was taken into custody after police saw him walking out of a room at America’s Best Value Inn and Suites in Cabot, Lonoke County Sheriff John Staley said in a news release.

Officers went to the location after receiving a tip about 2:50 p.m. Friday, the release states.

Davis was out on bond and awaiting trial on a similar charge out of Lonoke County. He was taken to the Lonoke County jail and is being held with no bond, according to the release.
