PUBLIC VIEWPOINT: Entitlement Belief Hard To Believe

I just read in disbelief the story about the young lady, an illegal Hispanic, complaining about having to pay triple fees at NorthWest Arkansas Community College because of her illegal status.

I did not read that she was grateful for the free education she received in the Benton County School system that prepared her for higher education.

Her logic that she has lived here for years (illegally) entitled her to the same benefits as American citizens escaped me. My granddaughter, who was born and raised in Springdale, had to pay “out of district” fees at NWACC.

I am not anti-Hispanic or anti-any race or culture. I live in a diverse neighborhood of many cultures and have friends of those cultures; however, this sense of entitlement to illegals doesn’t set well with me.

In how many countries can you openly admit to being an illegal and complain about not getting what you think you’re entitled to without facing some consequence? Those of you who are more traveled than I may know the answer to that question.

FLOWERS STOLEN FROM GRAVE

For the second time in

three years, I placed flowers on my dad’s grave in St. Vincent de Paul Cemetery in Rogers the day before Memorial Day only to have them stolen.

Not only was my decoration stolen but those my mother and sister had placed on Sunday as well as the American flag placed on his grave for being a World War II veteran.

How disrespectful are those so vile to sink to stealing from graves. I hope the individual(s) who did this rot in hell.
